We had a Teddy Bear's Picnic. We had so much fun! We made our own sandwich. I put some on some egg. I put some lettuce with the egg. We did a piniata. I brought my frog. By Jeremiah (Room 19)

Rubbish Free Lunches

We are trying to 'reduce' rubbish at Parkvale School.

Michael's Adventure

Michael and his family spent Saturday up at Boundary Stream where DOC had big project to relocate 106 Cooks Petrel chicks from Little Barrier Island. Michael and  his big sister Olivia were able to help move the chicks into their new burrows up in the hills. More than 200 years ago the Cooks Petrels did live up in the hills and this is the first project in NZ to bring them back.

We had our Pohutakawa Hub Swimming this afternoon. Lots of people came to see how very clever we are in the pool...

Kids on Summer Holiday

Here is Evan playing golf. He got a hole in one...woohoo!

He went down the water slide all by himself.

Manaia is getting ready to fly to Australia on a big plane. What a special adventure!

 He has arrived in Perth.

Kayne is at the park. He loves cuddles with his dad!

Here is Cameron, his dad and his cousin Logan building in the river while they were camping.

 Cameron is looking at the Huka Falls, near Taupo. He was amazed by the loud sound of the water rushing over the falls.

Cam is rafting on the Ngaruroro River with his dad, brother and friends...how exciting! 

Jack is pretending to surf in the paddling pool.

 This is Jack and his Dad making up the lego pirate ship that he got for Christmas. That looks like an awesome pirate ship, Jack!

The Holidays

I had an awesome holiday. I went to the beach, I went to Wellington, and most special I had my little, 4 year old grandson visit all the way from Japan.
